The Hungry Elephant

Whatta chip, whatta chip, whatta mighty good chip. SPICY with a hint of lavender.. and they smell amazing.

What you’ll need:

2 baking potatoes peeled
olive oil
sea salt
pepper (I used Lavender pepper, which can be bought by this Canadian brand HERE)
*ground culinary lavender
cooking spray

Peel and slice potatoes VERY thin. The thicker they are, the longer it takes to cook.

Use paper towel or a dish cloth and dry out the potato slices..

Put the dried slices in a bowl.. drizzle a teaspoon of oil and toss the slices so they are coated

add in salt, pepper and a tiny bit of ground lavender until the slices are coated. Mix again.

Place evenly on a greased baking sheet.

Bake 400°c until crisp, toss every 10 minutes.

NOTE: some may cook faster than others, so I took out the ones that were done as they were ready, then put back in the slices that still need cookin’!
