Keto Crab Dip

by hungryelephant

The best keto crab dip recipe I’ve ever made. If you don’t know how to make dip, this is probably the easiest appetizer recipe to start with.. It goes good for a regular family dinner, double date or dinner party!

Whenever I post this recipe, I always get questions like ‘but what can I dip it in?’… Well, ladies, gentleman, non-binary friends, I’ve perfected my keto (1-ingredient) tortilla chip, so these are what I would suggest for dipping. They are crispy and just the thing for dipping.

My 1-ingredient keto tortilla chips that are perfect for dipping.

If you want to try something else, crispy bacon is also a good dipper, along with celery and carrots.

But – that’s pretty much it! This recipe is so easy! You can upgrade this dip too by adding bacon, hot peppers, sriracha.. whatever your heart desires!

Keto Crab Dip

The best keto crab dip! Super easy to make. Perfect for a dinner party!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of crabmeat (approx. 170-200g net weight)
  • 8oz (1 cup/225g) cream cheese
  • 2 cups (200g) cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • dashes of: salt, pepper, oregano and parsley

Instructions

Melt the cream cheese in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

NEXT. Add in garlic, parsley, oregano and pepper. Keep on stirring.

Stir in the cheddar cheese & crab until it's thoroughly mixed together.

Put it in an oven safe pan.

Top with MORE cheese and bake at 350°F / 175°C until the cheese is bubbling. Approx 15-20 minutes

This is something you won't regret. Seriously so good, especially if you are keto. This is one of the best keto dips I've tried to make!

Hi Eleanor! Thank you for the comment. The recipe is a “copycat” and not made exactly like the recipe at Jack Astors. However it tastes exactly like it, even though it doesn’t have lobster. I’ll update my recipe to clarify but you can always add some steamed lobster meat when you add in the crab! Sorry for the confusion!

What do you use to eat with the dip?

Hi Sam,

I usually use celery, keto fathead crackers, bacon (the best), carrots (a few at a time, since carrots have a bit more carbs in them)..
