Ever looking for that perfect ketchup? One that has big KICK? I think I’ve found perfected the spicy ketchup recipe and it is SUPER easy to make. You only need a handful of ingredients but it does take some time. About an hour to let it all get that perfect taste and consistency.

What you’ll need:

Super easy to make – mix ALL the ingredients into a sauce pan or a deep pot. Simmer for an hour stirring occasionally. After an hour, it should start to have the consistency of ketchup. If it is still a BIT watery, don’t worry – it will thicken up once as it cools.

So leave it to cool, get your jar ready. Once it’s at room tempish.. Can it! and throw it in the fridge! Yummy!

Ps. if you’re unsure on how to make dried scotch bonnet peppers – get some scotch bonnets, cut them up and remove the seeds. Put them on a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake at 200 for 4 hours.. When they’re done, they’ll look like prunes, very shrivelled and very dry. Crush’em into a powder.  Also wash your hands because touching your face with pepper juice BURNS SO MUCH. Here’s a way to soothe it if you accidentally touch something that’s super sensitive to hot peppers.
