Ever get a craving for something deep fried, super unhealthy and just want to treat yo self? So did I, and deep fried ravioli was the best possible choice for this situation.
Better to use cheese ravioli when deep frying. I find when using the meat kind, the filling becomes dry and it turns out bland.
What you’ll need:
- cheese ravioli
- bread crumbs
- paprika, oregano, parsley
- vegetable oil
Set out three dishes, preferably bowls. In one bowl, scoop some flour, the other an egg, and the last bread crumbs with dashes of paprika, oregano and parsley.
Take a piece of ravioli and dip it in the flour, then the egg. Make sure it’s all covered with egg. Finally dip it in the bread crumbs. Voila! Set aside for about 5 minutes, so the egg will set and less likely for the bread crumbs to fall off.
Once that’s done, heat up your deep fryer or some oil in a pot. (If you use a pot, keep it on medium and lid nearby for any accidental fires. Always use proper deep frying safety techniques!)
Drop in your ravioli and fry until golden brown!
