Last week I went to a seminar on the ketogenic diet. If you’re not aware of what that is, it’s basically a very low-carb, high fat diet. So that means taking out all the bread, potatoes, pop etc and eat bacon, pork, veggies, eggs, avocados etc. It doesn’t seem like it is good for the body, but after talking with a nutritionist and a few Keto experts, I realize it’s not as bad as it seems.

So for the next month, I will be bringing you ketogenic diet recipes.. and don’t worry – they won’t be all salads and vegetables. There will be some super delicious stuff coming up.

The first recipe I’m bringing you is Keto Devilled Eggs!

What you’re doing to need:

  • 4 hard boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1 avocado
  • hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon mayo
  • 2 pieces of bacon

These are super easy to make. First, cut your hard boiled eggs in half, and scoop out the yolks into a bowl. Cut up your avocado and throw that in the bowl along with your hot sauce (as much as you want) dijon, mayo and 1 slice of bacon.

Mix and mash it all up together. Spoon the mixture onto your egg whites. Top with a small piece of bacon! and VOILA.

I haven’t fully calculated how many grams of fat and protein yet, so bare with me. I’ll update when I know 🙂
