So I bought myself some liquid smoke the other day.. and damn, does it smell DELICIOUS. Some of you may ask, is it keto? Why yes, yes it is. It is mostly water and smoke flavour.

I figured I’d give it a try and use it to make some vegan bacon and also saute some avocados. It goes GREAT with a salad.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 avocado/200g mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • dash of paprika
  • 1 tsp sugar free maple syrup

Mix together your liquid ingredients and paprika in a bowl.

Pour into a skillet and heat on medium.

Chop up your avocado or mushrooms and add into the skillet.

Cook on medium to medium-high, stirring every once in a while.

If you use mushrooms, don’t be freaked out if the liquid disappears. It will get soaked up.. but it won’t if you use avocado.

Once crispy, take off heat and VOILA. Enjoy
