5 Keto Alcoholic Drinks for Summer

Over the last few months I’ve uploaded some of my favourite cold drinks for summer, but with things easing back up in the world, it’s time for my favourite 5 keto alcoholic drinks!

What you’ll find in this recipe: Keto mojito, keto creamsicle, keto highball, keto kahlua (white Russian) and a keto margarita!

 

These keto friendly alcoholic drinks are incredibly easy to make and I really enjoy them on a nice hot July or August day. I think my favourite is either the white Russian or the creamsicle!

For the creamsicle recipe, I do recommend using half and half or almond milk. If you use something with a lot of fat, the fat will sink to the bottom. So best to go with something a little less fatty for this drink.

As for the sugar free kahlua, I like to keep mine cold in the fridge but you may notice that the sugar substitute crystalizes. If that’s the case, then warm the bottle up in hot water and shake to remix the sweetener. Keep it at room temperature to avoid any crystals.

Keto Mojito
Yield: 1

Keto Mojito

Super easy keto mojito! Sugar free and equally delicious!

Ingredients

  • Ice (filling the 8oz glass)
  • 6-10 mint leaves
  • 1 fl.oz. white rum
  • 3 fl.oz. soda water
  • 0.5 fl.oz. lime juice
  • 2 tsp sugar substitute (optional)

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a glass.

Stir and enjoy.

Keto Highball
Yield: 1

Ingredients

  • Ice (filling 8oz glass)
  • 1 fl.oz. Rye Whiskey
  • 3 fl.oz. Diet Gingerale

Instructions

    Place all the ingredients in a glass. Enjoy. 

Keto Creamsicle (Alcoholic Drink)
Yield: 1

Keto Creamsicle (Alcoholic Drink)

Ingredients

  • Ice (filling an 8oz glass)
  • 2 fl.oz. Diet Gingerale
  • 1 fl.oz. vodka
  • 2 squeezes orange water enhancer
  • 1 fl.oz. half and half

Instructions

    Place all the ingredients in a glass.

    Stir and enjoy!

Keto Kahlua || Sugar Free Coffee Liqueur

Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

A sugar free coffee liqueur! This keto kahlua is perfect to make brown cows, white Russians and more! Super simple and easy to make.

Ingredients

Instructions

In a pot over medium heat - stir together the sugar substitute, instant coffee, water and vanilla.

Bring to a boil, stirring frequently so the coffee doesnt burn.

Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Take off heat and let it cool.

Pour into bottle and add the vodka or rum.

Place the cap on your delicious low carb coffee liqueur and put it in the cupboard for at least 24 hours.

Enjoy!

Notes

This drink is effectively zero carbs.

**if you end up putting it in the fridge, you may notice that the sugar substitute may crystalize. If it does, warm the bottle up in some hot water, shake until the crystals dissolve then keep on the counter or in the cupboard.

Keto Margarita || Sugar Free

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

An easy to make keto margarita! This low carb cocktail is sugar free and ZERO carb.

Ingredients

Orange Liqueur:

MARGARITA:

  • 4 fl.oz Tequila
  • 2.5 fl oz. orange liqueur
  • 1.5 fl oz. lime juice
  • salt or sugar substitute for the rim

Instructions

LIQUEUR:

Fill a bottle with 10 fl. oz. of vodka or tequila.

Squeeze in the orange water enhancer.

Let sit overnight.

MARGARITA

Run a slice of lime around the rim of your glass.

Dip the rim of the glass in salt, sugar substitute or a mix of both.

In a shaker - add a cup of ice, the tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice.

Shake.

Pour.

Enjoy.

Notes

This makes 2 margaritas.

They are both zero carb.
